Fruteland Jackson entertains and teaches us about Blues history through song and story. He’ll sing blues songs and perform on his acoustic guitar. Fruteland is a recording artist, author, storyteller, and oral historian. He grew up in Chicago, and is the recipient of the Blues Foundation’s “Keeping the Blues Alive’’ award. He is also a five-time Blues Music Award
nominee. Fruteland performs Americana, acoustic blues, folk-traditional, and singer-songwriter styles around the world. He created the award-winning “All about the Blues Series: Blues in the School’’ programs. His program motto is “Try, Trust, and Triumph”. He works to bring music education to our schools.
