We are dedicated to supporting Rolling Meadows teachers as they inspire a love of reading and spark an interest for learning. Discover how the library can help you and your students.


We're Here to Help Your Students

We are here to educate, inform and entertain your students. Make sure your Rolling Meadows students and their parents/caregivers know about these library services.

Digital Library:

Students can use their card to access eBooks, eAudiobooks, music, movies and TV shows from home, any time of the day on the Read, Listen, and Watch pages.

Homework:

Younger students can find homework resources like Explora for Elementary Schools, Scholastic GO!, and World Book encyclopedias on the Homework Help page. Older students can also find student resources on the Homework and Test Prep for Student resource pages.

Library Cards:

Any student living in Rolling Meadows is eligible for a library card. We can send applications to your classroom in English and Spanish OR encourage parents to apply online in English or español.

Library Computers:

Kids in 8th grade or younger can use the computers in the Kids' Computer Zone. They can access filtered internet access, Microsoft Office, and printing. 

Online Learning:

Your students can take advantage of online educational resources using their library card. Our at home learning resources include: Creativebug, Mango Languages, Steam Powered Kids, and many more! See all our online resources on our Learn & Explore page.

Study Spaces:

Youth Services has comfy chairs to read in, as well as, tables (seats four) for studying and doing homework.

Volunteer:

Join the Middle School Advisory Board to discuss program ideas for the library, book purchase suggestions, prize ideas, service projects, and more. This is a volunteer opportunity and may be applicable for service hours.

Youth Events:

Don't let your students miss out on great in-person events and at home activities.

Teacher Book Bags:

The right books can help your students engage and develop academically while working independently. We can select a bag full of the best high-interest books for your students. Learn more about requesting a teacher book bag.

Teacher Library Card Number:

This is a library card number assigned to teachers working with children in a Rolling Meadows school. Borrow eligible materials for FREE with a loan period of four weeks. Email schools@rmlib.org or call the Ask Me Desk at 847-259-6050 X140 to request a teacher library card number.

Library materials For Teachers:

With your teacher library card number you can check out select materials for classroom use. Eligible items from Youth Services include: fiction books, non-fiction books, magazines, audiobooks, kits, and non-fiction movies. To check out non-eligible materials (youth AV and all adult items) please use your personal library card.
