All teens ages 13-17 are welcome in the Teen Area. We are located on the first floor in the east wing of the Library. If you need any assistance, ask at the Readers Services Desk. We are happy to help!
It’s easy to Get a Library Card. With your card you can use the online catalogExternal Link to search and place holds, borrow digital materials from resources like Hoopla and Libby, or research with our online databases.
You can borrow a Disc Golf SetExternal Link to play disc golf at the Salk Park course, as well as, a variety of other outdoor games, indoor games and electronics as part of our Library of Things collection.
High School students can volunteer in the Youth Services or Reference departments to earn hours for school requirements or just for fun.
A library card is NOT required to use a computer. Any teen older than 8th grade can use a computer in Adult Reference and younger teens can use a computer in the youth services’ Computer Zone.
The tables and chairs in the Teen Area are the perfect place to work on your homework or to study. There are also comfy chairs to read in.
You can reserve a study room with a library card or valid ID to work on group projects or practice school presentations.
