Summer is finally here! Join the 2026 Summer Reading Challenge: The Pursuit of Happiness. Complete challenges, win prizes, and have fun all summer!

Registration starts Wednesday, June 3

Summer Reading ends Sunday, August 16

Read and win:

Sign up at the Readers Services Desk for the Summer Reading Challenge and be entered to win fabulous prizes! Stop in to enjoy our displays and decor, plus get ideas for your summer reading picks!

Earn a spin on the prize wheel for each book you read. Also earn a raffle ticket to place into the sponsored restaurant box of your choice for each book recorded. Finish the challenge to win a free The Pursuit of Happiness t-shirt.

To Register:

  1. Stop by the Readers Services Desk to register if you are an adult or teen reader in 9th grade and up*.
  2. Fill out your contact information and pick up a reading log. Congratulations! You just completed the first step! 
  3. Don't forget to grab a few books on the way out.

*If you have a reader in 8th grade or younger, sign them up at the Ask Me Desk on the lower level.

Log Reading:

  1. Each book or challenge you finish and log earns you a prize. Record the title and author for each book you complete.
  2. The more books you log, the more chances you have to win! Keep reading to earn prizes like a free notepad, raffle tickets, and a spin on the happiness prize wheel. Bring your log to the Readers Services Desk to claim your prizes.
  3. Complete your log to win a free The Pursuit of Happines prize t-shirt!
