Youth Services Associate
pay rate: $17.37–21.72 per hour, Sunday hours are paid at time and a half.
hours: 25 hours per week—Some daytime, evening, and Saturday hours, plus a Sunday shift in rotation.

Job duties:
- Assist children and families with readers' advisory and reference services using print and digital resources.
- Help plan and present engaging programs and outreach services for children.
- Stay current on children's literature, youth trends, and emerging library technologies.
- Create booklists, displays, and promotional materials that highlight library collections and services.
Education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood, elementary education, or other related field is preferred
- Relevant experience with children and/or libraries; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Reference Librarian (Two Positions)
pay rate: $24.37 per hour
Hours (position 1): Average 20 hours per week
- Mix of morning and afternoon shifts
- Every other Saturday
- Sunday shifts in rodation (Sunday hours paid at time and a half)
Hours (position 2): Average 10.5 hours per week
- Tuesday and Thursday
- Evenings 5–9 pm
- Every other Sunday 11:45–5 pm (Sunday hours paid at time and a half)
Job summary: This position helps adult patrons explore nonfiction collections, access print and digital resources, and connect with the information they need. Working alongside colleagues throughout the library, you'll play an important role in delivering outstanding service and creating an inviting environment for all.
job duties:
- Staffs the Reference Desk as scheduled, delivering reference services in person, by phone, and via email.
- Assists patrons with locating and using library materials, databases, e-resources, and technology.
- Participates in collection development for assigned nonfiction areas, including weeding and selection.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of library resources, practices, and trends through regular review of professional literature.
- Demonstrates proficiency with digital devices, mobile technology, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other relevant software as it pertains to patron assistance.
- Serves as Person-In-Charge (PIC) as scheduled and executes duties according to library procedures.
education and experience:
- Master’s in Library and Information Science (MLIS/MLS) required
- Strong communication, tech, and customer service skills
- Bilingual skills a plus
