We deliver library materials to individuals and group facilities, serving people who are unable to visit the library due to  disability.

Eligibility & Details

  • Home Delivery is a free service available to ANY Rolling Meadows Library resident cardholder who cannot make it into the library for a period of 30 days or more due to health or mobility reasons.
  • If you do not already have a Rolling Meadow Library card, we will assist you in getting one.
  • Deliveries are only made to Rolling Meadows resident cardholder addresses.
  • Home Delivery Services can be requested as a permanent or temporary service.
  • Home Delivery Services are available year-round or seasonally.
  • Your favorite books, audiobooks, and CDs can be delivered to your door by one of our friendly staff members.
  • Deliveries occur approximately once a month on Wednesdays.
  • Connect with an assigned library staff member to discuss your specific delivery requests, or opt to have our home delivery services staff hand-select materials according to your interests.

Illinois Talking Book and Braille Service (TBBS):

The Illinois State Library TBBS External Link provides a free digital audio player and a variety of spoken materials to anyone unable to read standard print material due to a visual or physical disability. Braille materials and Descriptive Video Service films with audio narration are also available.

All materials are sent postage-free through the U.S. Postal Service. Contact the Home Delivery Coordinator at homedelivery@rmlib.org or 847-259-6050 X117 for help determining eligibility and signing up.

Get friendly help with basic computer skills, library apps, and using the library’s 24/7 online resources.

Bring your question along with your laptop, e-reader, tablet, or phone (or we can use a library computer) for a 30-minute One-on-One session.

  • Using online resources to learn coding, crafting, language learning, writing skills, and much more
  • Streaming movies at home
  • Downloading eBooks, eAudiobooks, music & more
  • Learning Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, or PowerPoint
