*Your PIN is the last four digits of the phone number associated with your library account.
If we don't own the item you are looking for, we can help you get it. As a member of our library consortium, you have access to materials from 33 partner libraries, along with additional resources to help you find what you need.
- Search partner libraries: Expand your catalog search to include materials owned by our 33 consortium member libraries. Place a hold on an eligible item and have it delivered to the Rolling Meadows Library for pickup.
- Visit another CCS library: Visit any Cooperative Computer Services (CCS) member library and borrow materials directly from that location with your Rolling Meadows Library card.
- Request items through Interlibrary Loan: If you are looking for something beyond our consortium, you can request eligible materials from libraries throughout the United States through Interlibrary Loan.
- Suggest a purchase: Submit a purchase suggestion for consideration by our collection development team.
Interlibrary Loan
Rolling Meadows card holders can access items from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). We’ll remove the hassle of driving around looking for a book, movie, or CD and get what you need sent right to the library.
Item Eligibility:
Items eligible for request are books, DVDs and CDs. In some circumstances we are able to request magazines and journal articles, but are unable to request textbooks. Materials requested must be older than 6 months.
Waiting Period:
The wait for a requested ILL item varies depending on where your item comes from. Materials generally take 1 to 2 weeks to arrive, but if we need to go out-of-state for the items, it may take a month to receive the materials.
Limits:
A patron can have a maximum of 10 active ILL requests at a time.
Borrowing Terms:
Loan periods and overdue fines are at the discretion of the lending library.
Renew & Return:
Item renewals are at the discretion of the lending library. In most cases, items can not be renewed. Please return ILL items to Rolling Meadows Library.
How to Request an Interlibrary Loan
To make an ILL request, you will need your Rolling Meadows library card and the details of the item you are requesting including format, title, author/artist/director and year of publication.

In-Person:
Any staff at the Readers Desk, Reference Desk or Ask Me Desk can help you make an Interlibrary loan request. Please have your library card and the details of the item you want ready.
