Preschool Prep

Sure the library has a ton of books, but we also have a variety of hands on learning tools and programs. Many of our programs and services target various areas that can help build skills for preschool success.

Language & Literacy

Build your child's skills through:

Cognitive skills:

Engage your child's brain through play:

  • Exercise curiosity and creativity through pretend play with the rotating toys at the Imagination Station.
  • Take home a board matching game External Link to improve concentration, problem solving, and memory.

Social Skills:

We offer a welcoming environment where children can feel comfortable:

  • Attend a storytime for opportunities  to practice social interaction and structured activities.
  • Foster autonomy and self-discovery through choice. Pick a book, pick a toy, pick a seat....

Fine Motor Skills:

Always find something new to develop your child's skills:

  • Practice fine motor skill through drop in crafts designed for kids of all ages.
  • Engage in hands-on sensory play while also developing motor skills by playing with our Giant Lite Brite and other over-sized games.

Preschool Registration

Please Note: Preschool and early learning start dates and registration requirements vary by program.

Registration typically starts in the Spring for the following school year. Most preschool programs require the enrolling child's:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Proof of Residency
  • Medical or Immunization Records
  • Potty Training
