100 Books Before High School

Calling all readers in grades 4–8! Join our 100 Books Before High School challenge and set out on a reading adventure at your own pace. 


Program Details

100 Books Before High School is a fun way to relax and take a break by reading what you enjoy. Every book counts: novels, graphic novels, nonfiction, audiobooks, and eBooks! Log your books, earn fun rewards, and celebrate milestones as you go.


How To Participate

  1. Get started at the Ask Me Desk! Pick up a reading log.
  2. Track each book read by marking a space on your reading log.
  3. For every 20 books bring your reading log to the Ask Me Desk to recieve a prize.
  4. When you have read all 100 books, stop by the Ask Me Desk with your final log to pick up your finishing prize.

Who can participate in this program?
Rolling Meadows students in 4th-8th grade.

Which books count?
Any book counts! However, you cannot count the same book more than once.

How long will it take to read 100 books?
The program is self-paced and will depend on how often you read. 

  • Read 1 book every 2 weeks to reach 100 books before 4 years have passed! 
  • Read 1 book every week to reach 100 books before 2 years have passed! 
  • Read 25 books per summer to reach 100 books before 4 years has passed!
