Library Field Trips & Classroom Visits

Students and Teacher selecting books from Library bookshelf

Library Field Trip

Teachers and students are very welcome to visit Rolling Meadows Library and youth collection.

We can give a tour of the Youth Services department to help students locate and choose their books.  During the tour we can provide  instructions on how to use: the library, online catalog, online resources or the Hoopla app. We are happy to work with the teachers' curriculum goals.

The best part is that students with a Rolling Meadows Library Card can check out at the circulation desk! Prior to a visit, we will coordinate with teachers to make sure all students (who are Rolling Meadows residents) have their own library cards.

Classroom Visit

A librarian from the Rolling Meadows Library will bring our resources right to your classroom. Classroom visits are typically 60 mins and can cover a range of grade specific topics, including a presentation (tied to curriculum, theme, or subject), research tutorial, booktalk and more.

We are also available to attend informational fairs, literacy nights, and other special events. Please reach out to the School Services Coordinator with event information.

Ready to schedule?
