Inspire your little ones to become lifelong readers with our storytimes filled with short stories, songs, and all kinds of fun. All storytimes meet in person in the lower level youth programming room or at the storytime tree (unless otherwise noted). Registration is recommended to reserve your spot. Drop-ins are welcome, if space permits.

Details Children’s Day - Book Day, or Día de los Niños - Día de los Libros, is a celebration of children, families, and reading. Our celebration emphasizes the importance of books and reading for all children. Come join us! A snack will be served!

Ages Babies–Age 5 & their families
Details Babies to preschoolers (and their siblings) are invited to enjoy stories at this evening storytime. Great for families with kids of multiple ages.

Ages Ages 6–24 months
Details Books, music, songs, fingerplays, and bubbles for caregiver and baby.

Ages Ages 2–3 years
Details An inviting and engaging time for caregiver and child to enjoy books, songs, and a simple craft together.

Ages Ages 3–5 years
Details Hear a story, make a simple craft, get some wiggles out, and have lots of fun! Children should be able to attend without a parent.
We make it easy to lead your own storytime for little ones at home or on the go.

Head out to the park and enjoy the StoryWalk® featuring a new story every season. The story begins in North Salk Park on the path behind the Rolling Meadows Community Center and ends at the library’s parking lot.

Browse our selection of nursery rhymes with hands-on activities to go along. Nursery rhymes are easy for children to memorize. The short rhythmic nature of nursery rhymes makes them simple to repeat.
