Renew & Return

New! Auto Renewals

If an item is eligible for renewal, it will automatically renew up to 2 times. Two days before an item is due, you will receive a courtesy reminder email. This email will let you know if an item(s) has been successfully renewed.

If an item is not eligible for renewal, you will get a reminder to return the item. Be aware and regularly read your emails from the library and/or check your account online or in the app.

Auto Renewals

Items are NOT eligible for auto renewal if:

  • It has a hold
  • It has already been renewed two times
  • It is on loan from another library (interlibrary loan)
  • It is a Top of the Charts book

Renew Items

You can renew most items two times if not on reserve for another patron. See all renewal limits.

In-Person:

Any staff at the Check Out Desk can renew your items for you. Please have your library card and the details of the item you want to renew ready.

Online:

Renew eligible items online from the library's public computers or from home. Learn how to renew an item online.

Library's App:

Download the library's app to renew eligible items from your mobile device.


Return Items

Book returns are for library items only. If you are looking to donate materials, please bring items to the Readers Services Desk in a sturdy bag or box.

Main book return:

There is a 24 hour, walk-up book return located near the Main Entrance of the library.

East Lot Book Return:

There is a 24 hour, drive-up book return located in the East Parking Lot.

In The Library:

There is a book return located near the Check Out Desk available during library hours. Please separate your items into the appropriate slot. Please return all Library of Things items to the Check Out Desk inside the building.
